RE-BIRTH
Often times we lose someone we are deeply saddened, and then
after the #burial with the exception of the immediate #family, everybody moves on
so fast with their lives. After attending the burial ceremony of a relative
yesterday I feel this death touched me on a more #spiritual level than I have
ever #experienced. And as I type this is still very confused about how someone
I didn't know very well personally can have such an impact on my life in such a
very short time. The only way I can describe this feeling is a Reawakening
OR Rebirth.
This is how I know this is deeply spiritual for me and I
had to write about him this morning, Dr. Collins
Richard Kaweesi Muwayire was Born in 1977 just one year older than me. I still can't
stop thinking we were on the same floor age-wise yet for him, he had
accomplished so much more in his time and really lived life to the fullest. He
even left a bigger legacy at just 42 years of age. Spoke 6 languages, had a #Ph.D. in #Horticulture and was a lecturer which
means he had the opportunity to share his knowledge and impact many young
lives. Was a family man and from his urology, you could tell how well he was
loved and how well he loved his family and friends. The turn up also confirmed is
#relationship building with so many people was on another level that we all
should emulate.
My most still confusing feeling from all this experience is I
feel that I had a 'Re-birth'. It seems something has really shifted in my
being and over the next couple of weeks, I plan to keep unfolding that to the
core and building on it.
My key takeaways from this experience;
- That even the bad things that happen in our lives have the
power to teach us lessons we would have not learned if they didn't happen,
however painful they are.
- I also continue to affirm Tony Robbins' quote about
problems that I funny enough read a few days before I got the sad news of
the doctor’s passing. He says and I quote " what if problems
are the very thing to step up to the next stage of your life, so you can
experience more of who we are today
- My personal favorite values, #Growth, and #Contribution
surely have a great impact on life when practiced actively in whatever we intend to do. We should be intentional about it.
- We should go through the experiences however painful or sad
then deny it ever happened. Sincerely speaking, our darkest moments give way to our deepest truths, if we let them.
- As you figure out a way to build your #legacy on earth, the true secret to living is giving of yourself in service to others and
building great and deep #relationships
Insight
"What if problems were our greatest gifts because they cause
us to grow, to expand, to care more, to learn more, to understand more, and to
love more?"

ReplyDeleteHe was really Friend, brother, and mentor for everyone including inspirational talks. Whenever I think of him, I can't imagine not seeing him anymore. I will continue friendship as it has been to the entire family.
